Yellow foots
A picture! It’s shitty and shaky but it’s a picture. I had to ask permission but now that I have it I’m going to take a few. We’ve all seen these before and I’m sad that I didn’t show the hollow center in this photo, but this is a yellow foot chanterelle. It is beautiful and delicate. It is from the forest and it is earthy and willowy. They sometimes get pine needles lodged in their hollow stem so you need to gently tear them open to clean them, they are a pleasure.
Yay Pictures! and I love your stories too. Just finished The Memory Keepers Daughter. Now working on Three Cups of Tea (book, not tea)
