They are just so beautiful and the smell of them when they hit the hot pan is so amazing. It’s crazy that they are apricot colored and they smell faintly of apricot. I just love to hold them in my hand.

    Yes, I just love the apricot smell when you tear them in half! Chanterelles were terrible on the island this year, just too wet, but they were cheap which means more chanterelle soups and sauces which was nice. People just love them!!

    On to the yellow foots! Before you know it, it’ll be morel season again.
