I’m back

We have two lovely restaurant managers now, so I have a spare block of time to do a little writing again. It is something that got pushed aside the last year and a half the restaurant has been open. My lack of writing first started with a strange fear of anybody reading anything and getting the wrong idea about the restaurant. I also had a strange paranoia having eyes on me in Saskatoon, I felt boxed in and afraid to share, in Vancouver it is such a big place there is freedom in being lost in the crowd, there I could just write. For whatever reason all of the fear feelings are gone and I feel free to write whatever again. I feel great. I just feel as if I am writing into a void that will absorb it with open arms. I don’t know how I came to the point where I give no fucks, but I have arrived and it feels great.

It was also difficult to start writing again because there is no way I could catch up reporting everything that has happened over the last year and a half. So much has happened and I wish I would have documented it because I think it might have been the most amazing information, you know? Play by play on opening a restaurant with no investors and no real no how, just doing it all and letting the food and drinks speak for themselves. A year and a half later I still feel like we are just piecing it all together, but we are busy and the whole thing just rolls along and grows and evolves. As long as we do our best everyday the thing just keeps moving and we learn more and this is just the beginning.
