I’m working at Boneta for 11 days while my friend Scotty is on vacation. I’m on entremat. I thought that I would be able to just jump on the station and be fine, but I’ve been really slow during prep and barely keeping my head above water during service. I can’t wait until I’m good enough to just show up to any restaurant and rock it out first day. Someday, but not yet. It is impossible for me to go under because the team there is so good. If I start to get in the weeds they just help me out of it.

…glad to see you’ve got a new gig – just a shame because 98% of the male population in British Columbia was hoping that you wouldn’t get another cooking job and there would be more pictures of you trying to find your pants.

Is it just me or do you get the sleaziest men (see post above) making comments on your blog. By the way– nice ass.

  3. Paul says:

Nicole – I don’t think ‘sleaziest’ is actually a word – so I am here and feeling a touch bad about my comment of last eve because I was all pumped up on a couple of bottles of pinot grigio and JT bringing his sexy back.

I am actually a very respectful member of the food service industry who is excited to see young women making their way through the kitchen ranks with knowledge, gusto and belief in their skills – I’ve really enjoyed Miss Peter’s insights into her side of the business – do you think I’d comment unfavourably about her after the gung ho pig butchering post – that was hardcore, I puked a little bit in my mouth while watching that.

So Nicole, does this mean you are going to ask me out sometime?

I don’t know which is lamer–the fact that I bothered to check on dictionary.com to verify that ‘sleaziest’ is INDEED a word or the fact that I am bothering to respond at all

Nicky, the fact that you are thinking about all I could be leaves me brethless,

  6. Paul says:

I meant breathless, I was just thinking about you and and all my faculties seemed to fail me.
